The agreement

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book an installation with us, for yourself or on behalf of someone else. They are written to be read, not to catch anyone out.

Our service

SafeHome UK Ltd supplies and fits home safety and accessibility products — grab rails, stair banister extensions, key safes, half steps and threshold ramps — at homes within our published Midlands coverage area. We are a private installer. We are not a council service and we do not assess eligibility for grants.

Prices shown for packages and individual items include VAT and standard fitting. If the fitter finds something on the day that changes the work needed — for example a wall that cannot safely take a fixing — we will explain the options and the cost before doing anything, and you are free to decline.

Booking and confirmation

  • A booking request is an offer. Our written confirmation of the date and price forms the contract.
  • You must have the right to authorise work at the address, or the permission of the person who does.
  • Tenants should check with their landlord before booking fixings to walls or doors.
  • Someone aged 18 or over needs to be present for the visit.

Payment

You pay after the work is finished and you are happy with it. No card details are taken to book. We accept card or bank transfer on completion, and the invoice matches the fixed price we confirmed unless you agreed extra work.

Changing or cancelling

  • You can change or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
  • Within 24 hours, or if nobody is home when the fitter arrives, we may charge a £35 visit fee to cover the wasted journey.
  • As this is a service arranged at a distance, you have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to start sooner than that and we complete the work, the cancellation right ends once the work is done.
  • We may cancel or rearrange for safety, illness or severe weather. We will offer the earliest alternative and refund anything already paid if you no longer want to proceed.

Our guarantee

Every installation carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If a fixing works loose or a fitting fails because of how it was installed, tell us and we will put it right at no cost. Manufacturer warranties on the products themselves are passed to you. The guarantee does not cover damage from misuse, accident, alteration by someone else, or normal wear.

Using our site responsibly

Please do not submit false booking details, attempt to disrupt the site, or copy our content for commercial use without permission. Our guides are general advice, not a clinical or occupational therapy assessment.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill, and we insure our work. We are not liable for loss we could not reasonably foresee, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply.

Complaints and governing law

If something is not right, call 0800 123 4567 or email hello@safehomemidlands.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within ten. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
